CATERING ORDER AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Effective Date: September 4, 2026
Last Updated: September 4, 2026

This policy applies to catering orders placed directly with Mulberry Street Italian Food Center through our website, by telephone, by email, or in person.

Catering orders placed through an independent platform may also be subject to that platform’s terms, deadlines, fees, and refund policies.

CATERING INQUIRIES

Submitting a catering inquiry does not reserve a date or create a confirmed order.

A catering order is confirmed only after:

• Mulberry Street accepts the order
• The menu, quantities, date, time, and fulfillment method are approved
• Required customer information is received
• Any required deposit or payment is successfully processed
• The customer receives confirmation from Mulberry Street

Availability is not guaranteed until the order has been confirmed.

ADVANCE NOTICE

Catering orders should be placed as early as possible. Larger orders, customized menus, holidays, and peak dates may require additional notice.

We may decline an order when there is insufficient preparation time, limited availability, or inadequate staffing or delivery capacity.

Menu changes requested close to the event date may not be available.

ORDER INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for confirming the accuracy of:

• Event date
• Requested pickup or delivery time
• Customer and recipient names
• Telephone number and email address
• Delivery address
• Guest count
• Menu selections and quantities
• Dietary requests
• Delivery and access instructions
• Setup or serving requirements

Please review your confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if anything is incorrect.

GUEST COUNTS AND PORTIONS

Serving quantities are estimates based on typical portions. Actual needs may vary depending on the event, menu, service style, guest preferences, and other food being served.

Customers are responsible for selecting quantities appropriate for their event. Mulberry Street does not guarantee that a particular quantity will serve every gathering in the same manner.

PRICES AND PAYMENT

Catering prices are subject to change until the order is confirmed.

Applicable taxes, delivery fees, service charges, equipment charges, setup fees, gratuities, and other costs will be disclosed when reasonably possible.

We may require:

• Full payment when the order is placed
• A deposit to reserve the date
• The remaining balance by a specified deadline
• An updated payment when items or quantities are added

An order may be cancelled if required payment is not received by the stated deadline.

DEPOSITS

When a deposit is required, its amount and refund conditions will be communicated before payment.

A deposit may become nonrefundable after Mulberry Street begins purchasing special ingredients, scheduling staff, reserving production capacity, or preparing the order.

Any deposit will be applied to the final order total unless otherwise stated.

CHANGES TO A CATERING ORDER

All changes must be requested directly by calling (732) 477-4520.

Requested changes are subject to availability and are not confirmed until accepted by Mulberry Street.

Changes may affect:

• Pricing
• Taxes and fees
• Required deposit or payment
• Pickup or delivery time
• Staffing and preparation requirements
• Product availability

Reducing quantities after ingredients have been ordered or preparation has started may not reduce the amount owed.

Do not rely solely on email, voicemail, website forms, or social-media messages for time-sensitive changes.

CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS

To request a cancellation, call us immediately at (732) 477-4520.

Cancellation requests are effective only after they have been received and confirmed by Mulberry Street.

The amount eligible for refund will depend on:

• How far in advance the cancellation is received
• Whether preparation has started
• Whether ingredients or supplies have been purchased
• Whether items were specially ordered
• Whether staff or delivery resources have been reserved
• The terms provided with the order confirmation

Deposits, special-order expenses, processing charges, and costs already incurred may be nonrefundable.

Orders cancelled after preparation has started may remain partially or fully payable.

CANCELLATIONS BY MULBERRY STREET

Mulberry Street may cancel or modify a catering order if we are unable to fulfill it because of product shortages, equipment failure, severe weather, unsafe conditions, emergencies, payment problems, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we cancel an order before fulfillment, we will refund payments received for the unfulfilled portion of the order.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential costs arising from a cancellation, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

MENU AVAILABILITY AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Catering menu items and ingredients are subject to availability.

If an item becomes unavailable, we may contact you to approve a comparable substitution, modify the order, or remove and refund the unavailable item.

We will not knowingly charge for a higher-priced substitution without the customer’s approval.

Handmade products may vary slightly in appearance, size, garnish, and presentation.

FOOD ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUESTS

Mulberry Street handles common food allergens, including milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and sesame.

Foods may be prepared, sliced, stored, transported, or packaged in shared areas or on shared equipment. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from allergens or cross-contact.

Customers must call (732) 477-4520 to discuss allergies or serious dietary restrictions before confirming an order. A note entered online is not sufficient notice of a serious food allergy.

The person placing the order is responsible for communicating relevant ingredient and allergen information to guests.

CATERING PICKUP

Customers must collect catering orders from:

Mulberry Street Italian Food Center
474 Brick Boulevard
Brick Township, NJ 08723

Please arrive at the confirmed pickup time. Arriving substantially early may result in the order not being ready.

Customers should ensure their vehicle has sufficient clean, level space to transport the order safely.

After an order is released to the customer or an authorized representative, the customer assumes responsibility for transportation, temperature control, storage, setup, and service.

CATERING DELIVERY

Catering delivery is subject to availability, delivery-zone limits, minimum-order requirements, and applicable fees.

Requested delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Traffic, weather, access problems, order volume, and circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.

Customers must provide a complete address, working telephone number, building-access information, parking or loading instructions, and an available recipient.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Long-distance delivery
• Difficult or restricted access
• Parking or toll expenses
• Additional delivery attempts
• Extended waiting time
• Setup or special handling

Delivery does not include setup, serving, cleanup, or equipment removal unless those services are specifically listed in the order confirmation.

EQUIPMENT AND SERVING SUPPLIES

Plates, napkins, utensils, serving utensils, racks, burners, fuel, trays, stands, linens, or other supplies are not included unless stated in the order confirmation.

Customers are responsible for using warming equipment and fuel safely and according to manufacturer instructions.

If reusable equipment is provided, the customer is responsible for its proper care and timely return. Replacement charges may apply to equipment that is lost, damaged, or not returned.

FOOD SAFETY AND STORAGE

Customers are responsible for maintaining safe food temperatures after pickup, delivery, or setup.

Hot food should be kept hot, cold food should be kept properly refrigerated, and leftovers should be handled and stored safely.

Mulberry Street Italian Food Center is not responsible for food quality or safety problems caused by:

• Delayed pickup
• Delayed service after delivery
• Improper transportation
• Improper refrigeration or reheating
• Food being left at unsafe temperatures
• Improper handling after the order is received

ORDER INSPECTION AND PROBLEMS

Inspect the order promptly at pickup or delivery.

If an item is missing, incorrect, damaged, or materially different from the confirmed order, notify us immediately at

(732) 477-4520.

Whenever possible, contact us before the event begins so we have an opportunity to correct the problem.

We may request photographs, packaging, the order confirmation, or other information needed to evaluate the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, we may provide a correction, replacement, store credit, partial refund, or full refund for the affected item.

THIRD-PARTY CATERING PLATFORMS

Orders placed through a third-party catering marketplace are subject to that platform’s payment, cancellation, delivery, refund, and customer-service procedures in addition to any applicable Mulberry Street policies.

If a third-party policy conflicts with this policy for an order placed through that platform, the platform’s applicable transaction terms may control.

ACCEPTANCE OF THIS POLICY

By confirming or paying for a catering order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted this Catering Order and Cancellation Policy and any additional terms included in your order confirmation.
